At Peach State Rescue, Inc., volunteers are the heart and hands of our mission. Every hour you give helps us save lives, care for animals in need, and prepare pets for their forever homes. Whether you have a few hours a week or can commit long-term, there’s a place for you on our team.

Volunteering with Peach State Rescue is rewarding, fun, and impactful. By giving your time, you:

• Provide love, socialization, and care to animals waiting for adoption.
   
• Support rescue operations, fundraising, and community outreach.
   
• Help animals heal physically and emotionally through attention, exercise, and enrichment.
   
• Make a direct, measurable impact on the lives of pets and the families who adopt them.
   
• Join a passionate community of like-minded animal lovers.

We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels, but we do ask that you:

• Are 16 years or older (volunteers under 18 may participate with a parent/guardian).
   
• Have a passion for animals and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
   
• Commit to reliable attendance and communication with the rescue team.
   
• Follow all safety and care protocols for the animals and volunteers.
   
• Attend any required orientations or trainings for specialized roles (e.g., handling dogs, kitten care, transport).

We have a variety of ways to get involved, both in-person and remotely, so you can contribute in a way that fits your schedule and skills.

• Walk, play, and socialize dogs to build confidence and readiness for adoption.
   
• Spend time with cats and kittens, helping them adjust to home life and prepare for adoption.
   
• Assist with grooming, bathing, and basic training.
   

• Take photos of adoptable pets for our website and social media.
   
• Help create engaging content, including bios, videos, and stories of rescued animals.
   

• Assist at adoption events, fundraisers, and outreach programs.
   
• Help educate the public about responsible pet ownership and Peach State Rescue’s mission.
   

• Data entry, newsletter creation, and volunteer coordination.
   
• Grant writing, research, and helping with online campaigns.
   

• Transport animals to vet appointments, adoption events, or new homes.
   
• Support foster families with training, guidance, and supply deliveries.

Volunteers can contribute in many ways — whether it’s:

• A few hours a week,
   
• Helping at special events, or
   
• Ongoing support in foster transport, admin, or social media.
